Embroidery Design Resizer
Resize PES and DST embroidery files online for free — right in your browser.
Drop a PES (Brother, Babylock) or DST (Tajima) design, scale it by percentage or fit it to a standard hoop (4×4, 5×7, 6×10, 8×8) and download the resized file. The stitch count stays the same, so the tool warns you when the ±15% density rule of thumb is exceeded.
FAQ
Is my embroidery file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read, resized and written back entirely inside your browser tab. Nothing is transmitted, stored or shared — the tool even works offline once the page has loaded.
How much can I safely resize a design?
The community rule of thumb is ±15%. Resizing keeps the original stitch count, so enlarging stretches the stitches (sparse fill) and shrinking packs them tighter (broken threads, bird-nesting). Beyond roughly ±30% it is usually better to have the design re-digitized at the new size.
What is the difference between PES and DST?
PES is the Brother/Babylock home format and keeps thread colors; DST is the universal Tajima commercial format read by almost every machine, but it stores no color information. The tool keeps your original format on export — for PES it only replaces the stitch stream, preserving colors and the preview thumbnail.
