Wallpaper Calculator

Rolls needed for your walls — with pattern repeat and openings. Free.

Enter wall size, roll dimensions, pattern repeat and door/window area. The calculator works out how many full strips fit per roll (accounting for pattern matching) and how many rolls to buy.

FAQ

How does pattern repeat affect the count?

With a repeating pattern, every strip must start at the same point of the design, so strips are cut to a multiple of the repeat. A 64 cm repeat on a 2.5 m wall forces 2.56 m strips — wasting up to 6 cm per strip.

Why buy rolls from the same batch?

Colour varies slightly between print runs. Check that all rolls share a batch number, and buy one spare roll — matching a discontinued pattern later is nearly impossible.

Should I subtract doors and windows?

Enter their total area and the calculator nets them out. However, the strips above doors and below windows still consume full-length strips, so keep the deduction conservative.
